Its April First, but there's no foolin' here...

Hi everyone! Its Wednesday and that means its Wednesday - LOL. Actually, its April 1st. I'm no jokester, so you won't find anything off here, but I know that there will be stories galore about the shenanigans that will occur today. I guess I should figure something out to do to "fool" Hunter. He's at a good age to play tricks on (hehe). I'll put that on my list for next year. Other than that, nothing special going on today except that all 3 boys are getting their hair cut this afternoon. Hunter has been begging me for a hair cut.

Crafty wise, its the official day that you can order all the new goodies at Clear Dollar Stamps. Remember that Lori not only has all the new release stamps for April available, but she is always adding new items to the store inventory too. Your best bet is to click on the tab that says "New items for (choose your month)"

So other than that, we are waiting for the end of this week and then its officially Spring Break. We are going to take a little mini vacation over to Idaho for a few days and I am hoping that my sister will come with us. My other sister and Mom are now basking (hopefully) in the sun in Hawaii.

Well, I said that I had a card to share with you today. I had a lot of fun creating this card. I hadn't used my Clear Dollar Owl set - What a Hoot in a while and decided to have some fun with that one.

I decided to go with a pink owl because I had some pink fun flock that I hadn't used yet. Nobody said that there was anything wrong with a pink owl did they?

I think there is definitely a polka dot explosion here, but I like it anyway. I used Papertrey ink's Bitty Dot Basics Paper and accented with a piece of their Spring Rain Cardstock.
I have to say that this Labels One Spellbinders Die is probably one of my faves for sure. I love this shape. I also did a lot of lifting for the owl too. I added an extra layer for the head and chest fur and also pop dotted the eyes too. I also embossed the stamped image and I felt like it gave me a bit more control while using the fun flock.

Ironically, I hadn't planned on adding that flower there, but I messed up while I was trying to get my threads to the back of the cardstock and ended up short so I needed to put something there in the corner to hide my "ugly". But again, it all worked out great and it gave me a great spot to put my sentiment.

Thanks for so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
