Hello Dawling

Yes, I did make some cards yesterday, but nothing spectacular. They were just a couple of quick thank you cards that I needed to send out. Not picture worthy and I still don't have my reader yet anyway.

So here is a card that I did a while ago too. The stamp is from Stamping Bella and she is rather ooh laa laa. Her name is Georgina Glamourpuss - such a cute name. I used my limited Prisma Pencils and OMS to color her in and then accented with some Copics. The sentiment is computer generated and I'm too lazy to go look to see who made the printed paper, but its not that old. The cardstock is CTMH and I used my Nesties to cut and mat my image.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Anybody sick?

Good morning. Lucky for me I don't know anybody who is sick, but if you are, here is a card for you. I made this card a while ago and am sharing it, because honestly, I don't have anything I've made in the last couple of days.

This is my first time ever using Prisma color pencils with Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS). I had been reading about it and reading about it and I finally got some stuff. Actually, my hubby got a large container of it at the Lowe's. I bought the stumps at Michaels in their art section.

I thought the whole concept was neat and I enjoyed the process. I loved how easy it was to smooth the pencils out. I'm dying to try the new pencils over at Gina K. Designs, but I guess I'm just going to have to wait because I'm on a spending ban -GASP- but its gotta be done.

The stamp is a House of Mouse and is a stamped image I received in a Stamped Critter Swap that I joined over on the Cricut MB. The only issue I have with coloring sometimes is making it realistic, as in what does a bottle of aspirin look like and trying to get pencils to match. I have a decent supply of pencils but not HUGE.

In the end, I was pleased with the way it turned out. Its a large image that took up quite a bit of card so there wasn't a lot that I added to it, but as I am looking at it, wouldn't it be cute to add a 3D element to the tissue (like real tissue - I know I've seen that before somewhere) or the aspirin?

Thanks for stopping by and if you are sick, I hope you feel better soon!

Ok, the recipe is a bit vague since I don't have the card anymore.

Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, CTMH, Ink: CTMH Black, Stamps: House Mouse, Other: Scor-pal, SU! Label Punch, Prisma Pencils, OMS, Dew Drop equivalent
