Brrr... get those mittens out and more...

Good morning! Ok, I have to say that I just love this card I'm sharing with you. I really enjoyed the whole mitten theme the other day and I really wanted to make another mitten card.

I used some Pink Paislee paper that I just received from Mandy the other day. I used my mitten template and cut my cardstock and then cut another layer of the printed paper. Then I took my ruler and and drew lines across my mitten so I could see where to sew. Don't look to closely, my tension was all off... I then covered it with my beloved Kaisercraft Rhinestones in 3 different colors and 3 different sizes at all the intersections where my seams crossed. Then, I had to do the whole paper chenille look again - thank you, thank you Lori McCroskey, becasue I can't get enough of that look. Its white Mulberry paper that is sewn on and then cut fringe like and then stylishly "fluffed". I used the same thing for my cookie box -->HERE<--, but Lori's blog Clearly iStamp is where I originally saw the technique. Click -->HERE<-- for her tutorial. I finished my card with a bit of ribbon and a super cute stamped image of a snowman from Unity Co.'s stamp set called Bitty Christmas Tags. I got this set from Limelight and it has really been one of my go to sets this season.

Cardstock: Olive (CTMH)
DP: Pink Paislee
Stamps: Bitty Christmas Tags (Unity Co)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Mulberry Paper, Copics, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, PTI Ribbon, Sewing, Nestabilities

Its Day 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas over at Limelight Papercrafts. Its JenMarie's turn in the spotlight. Go visit to play and have a chance to win JenMarie's very own Cupcake Owl stamp from Odd Bird Planet!

Mandy's special at the store are Prima Sprites 2 (Black, Fuchsia, Ivory, or Light Blue) for $3.50 Go check out all the fabulous stuff that Mandy has in stock and don't forget to stock up on the Kasiercraft bling before I take them all (hehe)

And just a reminder that Lori has blog candy up for grabs just for answering a simple little question. Click -->HERE<-- and it will take you right there. Oops and one more thing... I have a simple little tutorial for you over at Clearly istamp today too. If you have time go check it out :)

Very cute. I have been wanting to make a mitten card, or something, and I don't even own a pair of mittens!

I told you that you rocked a long time ago - and you never disappoint.
I am sorry I don't come around much. But events of life prevent it.
