***************************

Hi friends,

Wow, where is this week going.  It's already Thursday and the weekend will soon be upon us.  So, I ended up taking the twins to the Doctor's office this morning and the only appointment they had was at the same time as their swimming lessons.  But, it was a good thing I did take them because it turns out that Will has an ear infection, which I was pretty certain of since he came and woke me up last night complaining about ear pain.  Nate has Will's cough, but no ear issues as of right now.  Swimming will be ok for them tomorrow which is a good thing.  These lessons aren't cheap!  Unfortunately though, I have caught their cold and hopefully it will be mild.

Tomorrow is the first segment of my motorcycle endorsement weekend... I'm getting a little nervous... I DO NOT want to fail.  This first segment is a class portion and then on Saturday it's 1/2 inside and 1/2 practice.  Then Sunday is the written and riding test!  Send me good balance, technique, and short term memory vibes :)

And finally, I have a medical photo to share.  If you don't like these types of things... don't scroll down.  If you recall, I had a bad spell a couple of weeks ago and ended up in the hospital.  While I was there, I had an endoscope done and my GI Doctor took some lovely photos for me of my stomach and throat.  Everything looked as expected, but I got a good photo of my tumor.  I requested a copy of the photo from way back in December that initiated my original diagnosis, but I haven't received it yet and decided to go ahead and share this most recent one.

The 2nd picture on the right hand side is the photo of my actual stomach tumor (the whitish thing).  The rest of the pictures are of my throat and stomach.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

Until next time.

-Katie

Wow. I have never seen endoscopy pictures before. Totally weird! I would expect a tumor to be black or something.

I agree with Michelle. It doesn't look quite as menacing as I thought it would. Not that I expected those green blog guys from the Mucinex commercials or anything...lol!

I'm totally curious about pics like these - thanks for posting. I agree with what's been said already - doesn't look anywhere near as menacing as I thought it would. Sneaky little bugger.

That aside, I hope you have a blast with your motorcycle, and here are some good vibes for passing the test and getting your endorsement. So proud of you! Wish I had the courage!

Fascinating photos, Katie... I agree with the others... it's deceptive, that tumor. I'm praying that God personally attacks it with everything He has to get it out of you and make you healthy and whole again!

Good luck in the MC class! You'll do just fine!

Boy, I'd love to see you scrapbook those! LOL I use to get squeamish over stuff like this, then Jay's MS changed all that. . .What surprises me about these photos is that they are very clear and detailed. Amazing stuff. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but it's been kind of crazy. But I do think about you guys a lot. Good luck with the motorcycle tests. I know you are going to breeze through it! Best, Curt

It's good to look your 'enemy' in the eye- now stare it down and tell it to go the Hell away!!!

Hi Katie.. trying to think of captions for the pics.. like if they were on a card.. "I love you from the bottom of my esophagus".. "I have a gut feeling"... stuff like that. Sorry, took pain med this morning and they do make me crazy. One of my coping methods is humor.. I am so praying that new healthy tissue generates and pushes the tumor tissue from here to hades, I know our God can and does heal.
Oh.. I will be praying and thinking of you vs the motorcycle.. vvrrruummmm

I agree with what others have said...doesn't look menacing. Isn't that weird! I have photos like this of my stomach ulcer from several years ago. I like what Linda said about trying to come up with captions "I have a gut feeling" cracks me up!
You will not fail the motorcycle test,Katie. It's not in you to do that!!
Praying for complete healing for you.
blessings,
Kathy
Hope the boys
