It's my potty and I'll cry if I want to

Dear friends,

Another Thursday has rolled around and I still feel just ok and I must admit that some of it may be psychosomatic.  Who knows, it's hard to tell sometimes.  Today is blood work day and.... SCAN day.  This is going to be a big deal and really the first crucial piece of tangible information for us since my diagnosis.  Yes, after labs today, I get to finish off my barium and get a CT scan.  I won't have results until Monday when we meet with my Oncologist.  This scan and future meeting is full of what ifs and who knows.  I don't even want to speculate so I'll "try" to put it on the back burner for now.

Until that point though I do have a card to share with you.  I love this image and the sentiments that go along with it.  The Clear Dollar Stamps Design Team did a fabulous job coming up with the matching sentiments.  There is a story behind this digi set.  Last summer, Kevin and I went with another couple on a motorcycle trip for an entire week.  We had a great time and on the way home, we stopped at a little restaurant in Natchez right at the bottom of White Pass.  Of course, you can't get back on the road without one last visit to the loo.

Well let me tell you that the first thing I noticed was this super cute wall paper.  It had vintage images of toilets and was in black and white.  I loved it, but didn't have my camera on me so Kevin being the super guy he is took one last pass through there and took a photo of the wall with his cell phone.  I then passed this photo on to Lori and as you can see we have come full circle.

Until next time.

-Katie

Hey Katie!

Cute cute card! Thanks for sharing. My thoughts and heart hugs go with you through your Thursday workups with tests and all. And on into Monday. Bless you, dear. Jay--And I always love seeing your thanks above--and the reminder that 'time IS precious.'

I had to laugh when I saw the stamp set and I don't know if I'd use it 'cos the British are so 'poah - face' about the toilet. Poah is another euphamism for the loo in my family so I just made myself giggle. Your card is super tho and I love the story of your bike ride. Toilet humour is the staple in my family and I cannot wait to show them this.
Of course my thoughts are with you for now and Monday but I don't want to jinx it so will change the subject pdq. My family are making a visit to the USA in May as my youngest daughter has chosen to get married in Central Park, New York - we are so exited and me and O/H have just got our new passports. First visit to America and I get tingly just thinking about it...wow! Hugs to you and your beloveds, Hazel x

Gorgeous!! Sending lots of love and prayers to you. Isn't cardmaking so therapeutic? It just seems to make everything else melt away, even if only for a few moments, it is the perfect escape. Take care.

Thinking of you today and loving your card and story..
Scott Hamilton was on The Today Show yesterday talking about his cancer and how he's flustered because people always talk about his health. He feels he does so much more than just having health issues. This is so true for you too. You are such a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, and story teller, baker, on and on.

How cool that you took a motorcycle trip with your hubby. Mine would love it if I would agree to that (just as an aside...he doesn't own a bike! LOL) But even cooler that your sweetie took the picture of the "loo" for you. Your card is fabulously beautiful and the sentiment is funny and cute. Thanks for the story and the card!
