Happy Mother's Day

I would like to wish all the Moms out there a wonderful day today and in accordance with today, I'm going to share 2 cards that I made. One is for my Mom and the other is for my Mother-in-law. I honestly don't know if either one of them has seen them yet, but I did mail them, although not with a lot of room to spare.

So, I'll share my MIL's card with you first. I used some of my Graphic45 paper for her card and thought she would like this type of design. It is not my norm, but it was still lots of fun to create. It definitely gets me thinking though.

The bird is a stamp from Papertrey ink (exclusive anniversary set) and I used Tim Holtz inks to stamp. I cut the image out and used pop dots for some dimension.

I chose the word Charisma because I like this word and I thought it was a nice word to describe my MIL. That word is part of the Graphic45 paper and I just cut, matted and inked the edges a bit.

I also used some 1/4" silk ribbon and then topped it off with some Prima lacey flowers. I added some pearls to the centers and voila... all done.

I hope you like your card Ann... you are the best MIL!

My 2nd card is for my Mom of course and she is the bestest ever! She literally CHOSE ME! I wanted something soft for her... she loves roses and I always think of roses and pink when I think of her. But I didn't make a pink card for her. I actually picked the opposite of pink. I chose some very pretty paper in blues and greens from a purchase with purchase scrapbooking kit from Close to my Heart. All the elements I used on the card are from the kit... EXCEPT the stamp. The sentiment is actually from a Papertrey ink set.

I really like how this turned out and I know that she will love it too.

So with that.... Happy Mother's Day once again! Have a great day and thank you all for coming to visit me!!!

Both of the cards are so pretty. I especially love the CTMH paper you used on the card for your Mom.
