Hey there

Hey all... happy Friday! I do have "responsibilities" I should be working on, but again... "girls just wanna have fun!"

There were several things that I've had or had just gotten that I really wanted to use:
  • Martha Stewart Micro Beads
  • Chipboard that has been sitting around for the past year
  • New SU chipboard (the flowers) that I hadn't gotten around to using and that especially makes me feel guilty because it was a gift from a friend.
  • My new Double Loop Martha Stewart Punch ( I just LOVE this look)
For this particular card, the stamping didn't matter. I just needed something that would fit and for today's card and it happened to be Papertrey ink's Big and Bold Wishes Set. I thought the sentiment worked perfectly with it. I tried to get it to fit so it would be horizontal, but it just didn't look right so I went with vertical. I also used Papertrey ink's new cardstock and patterned paper... love this color. And the other couple little tidbit is the use of Spellbinder's Label 1 nestability.

Overall, its a different look for me, but it was fun to do.

And going along with my "hey there" theme, I wanted to let you know that I posted another challenge over on Lori's blog - Clearly iStamp. Its our bi-monthly Clearly Inspired Challenges and this time around its a color challenge. Head on over and have some fun. You've got an entire week and there is a prize up for grabs too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Very pretty, Katie! I really like the look of that punch, and your microbeaded flower and flourish are really cool ;D

Holy cow -- what a card. I LOVE how you used the microbeads on the chipboard. It almost looks like one of those punched embroidery embellishments.
