Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek #3

Happy Thursday friends. It is still freakishly hot here in the Pacific Northwest, but don't worry, we'll survive (lol) Well, its day 3 of Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks. All previous stamps and today's stamps will be available first thing August 1st - yahoo. You can also see the full reveals on Lori's blog - Clearly iStamp and some more wonderful samples.

So... what do I have for you today? I will be sharing samples for 2 sets today, but here are all the sets being shown - Rosebud Prince, Playful Pixies, Pansy, Sweet Symphony & Sheet Music.

My first 2 samples are from another new flower set called Pansy... can you guess what it is?? LOL... bad humor (sorry) This is a nice sized image that is great for coloring with just about any medium you prefer.

I chose to use my Copics and tried to match up my pansy to the colors on my Basic Grey floral background paper. I think I did a decent job of it. I also cut the flower slightly off center which allowed room for a small sentiment which is actually from another Clear Dollar set called Sunflower Songs. I added a cute charm and a Basic Grey self adhesive pearl to the center.

Recipe:

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Pansy, Sunflower Songs (sentiment)
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: White (Papertrey ink), Smokey Plum, Indian Corn Blue (Close to my Heart), DP: Wisteria (Basic Grey)
INKPADS: Black (Close to my Heart), Memento Tuxedo Black
MARKERS: B00, B12, B45, B95, YG63, G21, C-1
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Basic Grey Adhesive Pearls, Dollar Store Ribbon, Petite Oval Nesties, Charm Flower
COLORING MEDIUM (if any): Copics

I decided to go with a much different color scheme for my second card. When I was done, I decided it was definitely a holiday looking card. I think it would be just fine to send a red pansy card for the holidays instead of, let's say a holly image. You can let me know if you agree or not :)

Now here is my hint for you. I could not find a piece of cardstock to match the green Copic marker I used for my leaves so all I did was cut my border with my nesty circle and color the edges with my copic. You can't even tell that it started out as a piece of white cardstock.

I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder and then added my ribbon to tie up in what I consider a present design.

Recipe:

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Pansy
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: White, Pure Poppy (Papertrey ink)
INKPADS:Memento Tuxedo Black
MARKERS: G17,G28,R59,R39,R29,Y17
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Ribbon (Papertrey ink), Swiss Dots embossing folder, Small Inverted Circle Classic Nestabilities,
COLORING MEDIUM (if any): Copics

My last 2 cards are from the set called Sweet Symphony and an individual stamp Sheet Music.

I love the look of having the black ink on white and vice versa. I thought the piano keys was perfect with the stamped background. Then I added some fun ribbon to it.

Recipe:

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Sweet Symphony, Sheet Music
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: white, pure poppy (Papertrey ink)
INKPADS: Black (Close to my Heart), Pure Poppy, Fresh Snow (papertrey ink)
Markers: C-1, BV29
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Ribbon, Petite Oval Nesty, Word Window Punch
COLORING MEDIUM (if any): Copics

My next card is a bit warmer in color and focuses on the violin image from the set. Again, I colored in my image with my Copics and other than that, the card is pretty cut and dried. Oh, also just got these butterfly shapeabilities and had to try them out.

Recipe:

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Sweet Symphony
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: White, Chocolate (Papertrey ink), DP: Porcelain (Basic Grey)
INKPADS: Chocolate, Honey, tulip (Close to my Heart), Moss Green (papertrey ink) Memento Tuxedo Black

ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Papertrey ink ribbon, Spellbinders Butterflies 2 Shapeabilities, Petite Oval Nesties

Hi Katie! All 4 of the cards are great. I love the coloring and the BG paper you used for the first Pansy. The 2nd Pansy would be great for the holidays. Both of your music cards are awesome too.

Hey lady! These projects are fabulous. I'm hoping to have some of my own to post soon. Keep me updated to what you think of Scarlet Jewel. I'm a little disappointed - love the paper and the ribbons, think the ink isn't up to snuff.
