Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. I wanted to share a card that I did for the CDstamps Color Challenge over at Papercraft Planet. I'm sure most of you know that we have a weekend challenge every week and this weekend is being hosted by our lovely Shawne. As usual, she picked some great colors to work with. They are Real Red, Barely Banana, Baja Breeze, and White as neutral.
Here is my card for the challenge. I am inspired by the birth of a little baby boy by Laurie Wilson our lovely DT coordinator. How exciting for Laurie and her family to welcome a new baby to the fold. Last we heard, mother and baby are doing great.
I was going to using Ernie the Elephant, but instead used this little guy/gal instead. I wanted more of my ribbon to show and big 'ole Ernie's hips were going to just take up too much room.
I colored using my Copics and used Petite Oval Nesties to cut him out and then framed him using the Labels Four Nesties.
The plaid background paper is Stampin Up! and the cardstock is Close to my Heart. I noticed that my "turquoise" isn't really turquoise (oops), but you didn't notice right??
Border punch is a Martha Stewart... gotta love her stuff.
I know its a busy weekend, but if you've got time, we'd love it if you played along.
Enjoy the rest of the day and weekend!
