Hi everyone! Today is my first official card as a Design Team Member for Stamp Something Challenge Blog and I'm excited to share my card. This weeks challenge is sponsored by My Grafico and were were given a set of wedding themed digital images to work with called Here Comes the Bride.
I chose the wedding cake image and designed my card around that. I printed out my image relatively big and used my Copics to color the image in and then added some new Shimmerz Pixie Dust Blingz to the swirl sections as well as the oval foundation. A bride's gotta have a little bit of bling (lol)
I based my Copic colors on the Basic Grey patterned paper. The new Wisteria is so pretty and seems to work for all sorts of occasions.
I was going to go for a traditional all white card, but for whatever reason I ended up with the light bluish/aqua thing going on.
I didn't really worry about what color the cake was because I've seen and made them in every shade possible.
Here is a close-up of the Shimmerz. Its quite pretty and adds just that extra something.
I've also seen other crafters embossing patterned paper and have thought it was so pretty so I tried my hand at that. If you look closely, I used the swirls embossing folder on the Wisteria paper and I also used the dotted swiss folder to emboss the oval under the wedding cake.
The ribbon is also one of my favorite items of late. Its white and sheer, but shimmery at the same time. Look closely again and you might notice that the bow has double loops - just something different.
Ok, I feel like this post was totally disjointed and kind of rambly, but I tell you its hot here and I'm totally melting away. Don't get me wrong, I like warm weather, but heat, heat, go away.
Thanks for coming to visit and remember to head on back to Stamp Something and play along. You've got all week to make something "weddingish".
