Happy Birthday - There She Goes Style

Hi all. Surprise, surprise, I managed to get this post up... seriously, I'm surprised. I usually have the best of intentions, but the time usually manages to just slip away. Well, I think I finally got my watermark and the photoshop figured out for the moment, thanks to my friend Vicki (yay you!!!).

So, here it is. My other friend Becky has been eyeballing and waiting every so patiently to place a big order for some There She Goes stamps. I am still budgeting, but did want to get this particular set called Special Delivery. Plus, I know my very bestest stamping buddy (Becky) will share :) -- right?

Anyway, I made this card to quickly send to my brother who's birthday is tomorrow. I sent it down to my Mom's since I know that he and his girlfriend were coming up to Chehalis for a celebratory birthday dinner with Mom and my little sister.

And just another cool little tidbit there. Jessica, the owner of There She Goes actually goes to Chehalis. I grew up in Chehalis and occasionally go home for a visit here and there although I really consider Bellingham home, but I did enjoy my time there. Plus, extra bonus, the mail from there is super, duper quick - we're talking next day!

I used a plain white cardstock for the card base and layered some CTMH Indian Corn Blue cardstock on top. To masculinize this card a bit I distressed most of the layers of cardstock - love that worn look :) The patterned paper is Making Memories that I got at Joann's. I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with my Copics. For the cupcakes, I stamped them several times, colored, cut out the "icing" sections and used glue dots to give it just a slight dimensional look (I didn't want any bulk here, but it still added that little bit of extra in person). I cut out one more to have it "falling" out of the mailbox. I like how this turned out and I know that I will be using this stamp set often.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, there's still plenty of time to enter my blog candy!
