Treasure Chest - Argh Matey

Hi everyone! Woo hoo, Hunter has no cavities. I always feel relief after every appointment. Me on the other hand... cavities all the time it seems. I will blame it on my lack of preventative dental health in my early childhood... sorry I'm digressing here.

Well, today I am revisiting something I made last week just using a different theme. I made a Valentine's Treasure Chest for Lori's Clearly iStamp blog. You can find the tutorial for it -->HERE<-- At the same time, Clear Dollar Stamps was releasing a new stamp called Wood Grain and I thought it would be perfect for a less sweet treasure chest. I finally got a chance to put that stamp into action again.

After I stamped my cardstock, I added some darker colored cardstock for my chest straps. Because I didn't have enough brads, I used my Versamark pen and gold embossing powder to create the dots (nail heads I guess). Either way, I like how it turned out.

Today, I'm headed out to go rock some babies and I'm hoping to get some more stamping in later today.

Lori is offering up blog candy -->HERE<-- and you've got plenty of time to play along and then head on over -->HERE<-- to check out my Stamp Spotlight post for Clear Dollar Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Tuesday.

{Recipe}

Great treasure chest... and it would be nice for a Pirate party as a take home gift. I made several (not like this one)a few years ago when one of my grandkids had a Pirate birthday party. The kids each got one and used them for taking all their "loot" home.
