This is my 2nd post today so make sure that you scroll down for the Limelight Papercraft's Sketch and Product Challenge.
Get ready for another set of awesome stamps. Today's samples were made from a set called Deer Season. You'll be able to purchase this set on November 1st at Clear Dollar Stamps.
This would make a great "guy" or "nature" set to include in your collection. I have hunters in my family and of course some friends too so I try to make cards with this theme for them when I can. But, what I really like about this set is that it is very versatile. It isn't just a "hunting" themed set.
My first card does focus on the "hunting" aspect and of course I love the sentiments that come with this. I random stamped my background with the deer image and of course used some nice woodsy colors. To get the shadow on my image I just stamped again off to the side immediately after stamping my original image. I love that affect and so easy to do.
I basically did that same technique for my second card. I love this tree because it didn't need masking to make it appear 3 dimensional especially when stamping twice with full ink and then partial ink coverage. I did a bit of tearing and inking to give it some "rustic" flair. Then just pop dotted the smaller deer image. A real simple and easily put together card.
Thanks for coming by and visiting and sharing in my excitement for all the new stamps being released! Make sure you visit all the other Clear Dollar Stamps design team members for some absolutely fabulous creations and inspiration. All names are listed on the side bar.

Wow these cards are gorgeous. Love the technique of stamping the second time without actually inking again. Your colour combos are perfect. Warm regards
wonderful stamp set and fabulous cards Katie
Wow! I love what you did with this set! The second card doesn't even look like it could be in the same set as the first! So creative!
These cards are fabulous! The rustic feel is awesome.
Awesome cards, Katie! Love how you double stamped the hunting tower to create the shadow and the row of trees with the frolicking deer!
Great masculine and nature cards! Love the tearing on the one, and like how you showed how versatile the set can be!
WOW, what great guy cards....I love the layouts, colors, and all the awesome details!!! Awesome work, Katie!!!
Beautiful job with this set, making "guy cards" is a challenge in itself.
Katie, these deer season cards are fab! And what great cards for a guy...they're always hard to make, but you made it look easy!
