Good morning! A while back (not that long ago) I was blog surfing and came across several posts all describing a new stamp line called Whiff of Joy by Katharina Frei. Many of you may be familiar with Katharina via her blog and her awesome sketches. Anyway, I did a pre-order which included free shipping from Europe and got my stamps yesterday. They are so cute and I had to ink one up right away. I only got 3 stamps - 2 Charlottes and 1 Charlie. Since this stamp is definitely a winter time stamp I immediately think blue. I colored her in with my Copics and paired her with my new Basic Grey paper from Limelight Papercrafts. Just a reminder though, cut out your image before you apply liquid applique. Anyway, I added a little bit of glitter before I used my heat gun on the liquid appliqué and the ribbon is from the Michaels $1 bin that I got a while back.
There is a lot of fun potential with the Charlotte and Charlie stamps. I can't wait to play with them more.
Well, I have a neat little story to share too. I will be meeting a new friend today completley out of the blue. In all honesty and I would have been the first person eight months ago to say that the whole blogging thing sounded so weird, but I have met some great people via the internet.
So back to today. I was doing my usual Lauren sketch and I was perusing her sketch team and happened to click on a name that I wasn't really familiar with. When I clicked on her blog and saw her picture, I recognized her and thought "hey I know her". I don't know her, but late last year I was searching for a SU! rep and she had popped up. I didn't contact her at the time and actually contacted someone else for what I needed at that time, but I remember her face.
Well her name is Kim Gasper and she lives right here in the same town that I live in. So, I e-mailed her and of course we have a lot in common so we decided to get together and meet in person. How cool is that???
So, reach out and say hi. Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Super cute! Her little handwarmer is the perfect touch.
That is so totally cute! I love that applique! And I wouldn't have thought to use that paper for winter, but it definitely works perfectly!
Hi Katie,
I really enjoyed meeting up with you today and talking stamping shop. I know life is going to get a bit crazy here with school starting, but hopefully we can make a stamping date to get together soon.
I left you an award on my blog! :)
