Homage to the fair with Charlie

Well, we went to our local fair yesterday and let me tell you - uggghhh... I mentioned in a previous post that we decided to not take the twins and just take Hunter with us. I had pre-paid for the tickets and wrist bands for the ride so all three of us were set to go. First of all, it was super hot - 90 degrees and for me it was miserable. So, the fair is the fair and to be honest the only reason we go is for the kid. This year he was way into the rides so of course we had to do rides. End result was me feeling like I was pregnant with the twins again. Right after the first ride I had enough. I did ride a few more rides, but I felt nauseous for the rest of the day. I felt old and sick (lol). That is Hunter and Kevin at the very front of the ride. Hunter wanted to immediately ride it again so I was the lucky duck and went with him again. I think I will watch the twins next year and have the girls take Hunter to the fair to ride the rides.

So, I had to make a quick card to pay homage to our time at the fair and I picked Charlie to help me out. This particular set is called Charlie Gets Giddy from Clear Dollar Stamps and was a new release for August. Just like all the other Charlies, he's a keeper.

I paired Charlie with some new paper that I got from Limelight Papercrafts. I think I'm in love with this new paper and the 6x6 size. For today's card I used Basic Grey's Euphoria, but can't wait to dig into the other Basic Grey packet I got.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your weekend.

Oh, what a cute card! I love that paper, too! It's a dangerous thing!

You're a really nice mom, Katie. NO WAY will I go on those rides. I'm not 16 anymore! *laugh* Yes, you need to "borrow" a couple of teenagers to take Hunter on the rides next year. Definitely. Offer to buy their ride bracelets, then you can do whatever you like and NOT get sick. :o)

Wow, adorable card! I am one of those who cannot handle those rides anymore!
