Good morning! When I saw Ernie Elephant, I thought he was just the cutest. I loved his simple line. I thought for my first card, I would create Ernie into a really cute baby card. I paired Ernie with some really cute paper from Papertrey Ink called Everyday Blessings and matching cardstock. He is such a great stamp that is perfect for paper piecing and I think I see some masking in his future too.
After cutting him out, I used some pop dots and put him on just plain white cardstock and then used the matching nestability scallop for the mat. The tag is from a cuttlebug die and the safety pin is from my CTMH accessories. The sentiment is a set of alpha stamps from CTMH too.
I also want to mention the Darice Canvas pieces that I got at Michaels. They are the best thing to use when piercing. I purchased the round sets, square sets and a heart shape. These are the best things for getting perfectly even holes.
This card is a pretty simple one, but I think it turned out so cute. Now, I just need to find a pregnant friend to give it too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
