Greetings

I just received a stamp set from this little company called Pink Persimmon. I love clear stamps so I was immediately drawn to these, plus their designs are almost nostalgic I guess. I really want the Little Red Wagon set, but decided to just hold off for a wee bit. I had been going back and forth as to how much I could spend and what I wanted. I really wanted 3 sets, but opted to just one for right now. The one I picked is called Scottie Dogs and it is just the cutest.

Plus, Caardvarks is having Pink Persimmon blog candy - really GOOD candy. Go check it out. This is the card that I made for my entry and while I was at it I made another one that I think I will send out as a Christmas card. I always think of black and red plaid with Scottie dogs and that was my intention with the second card, but it ended up with a holiday look instead.

For this card though, I used Papertrey ink's Polka Dot Basics for my background (in pink) and accented it with more pink, a little bit of peach, and gray. I stamped my dog in grey as well to give him a softer look. I did a bit of paper piecing added a bit of blink with some stickles and used my nesties to frame my image.

And here is my festive scottie dog card. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I really feel like these would make really cute holiday cards, fairly simple like this or jazzed up. Its card to see, but I embossed the dog to jazz him up a bit.
