Are you all familiar with the term "muffin top"? Well, I am and its because I have one. If you are not, here is the definition from Wikipedia :
"Muffin-top" is a generally pejorative, slang term used to describe the phenomenon of overhanging flesh when it spills over the waistline of trousers or skirt in a manner that resembles the top of a muffin spilling over its paper casing. This generally occurs when an individual wears low-rise, hip-hugger pants, or midriff-baring tops that are too small.
(Sadly though, I don't have to wear low-rise or the hip-hugger pants
to achieve this)
And due to this fact, I have been trying to do some physical activity to decrease the size of my muffin top. My choice of activity at the moment is riding my bike with the twins attached in the bike stroller in the mornings. If you read yesterday's post then you know that we live in a neighborhood where we walk to school. So, we all get on our bikes and in a matter of 3 minutes we are there. I drop the older kid off and then head on to my chosen route with the boys in tow.
The reason I am writing about this is because I laugh (after I am done, because I'm so huffing and puffing during) at how stinkin' slow I am. Man, towing what comes out to be about 75lbs and considering that I'm not the most fit individual to start out with (at the moment - haha) there are times that I certainly hope a jogger doesn't pass me on the left!!!. Then at the end of the ride I have to go up a hill. I've got all the gears set at the lowest and I still can't make it up all the way. I have to stop and walk the rest. I guess that is my goal then - to be able to ride up that hill.
So back to the "muffin top" business. I am thinking of changing the terminology to "cupcake top". Doesn't that sound much more appealing - or maybe not. Either way, I have lots of cupcake stamps to make cards with so, in my world, I will rename my "muffin top" to my "cupcake top".
Here is a card I made a bit ago and I'll share it to celebrate my eventual shrinking of my "cupcake top". But, please don't hold me accountable for the shrinkage because I want you all to know that I have not signed a contract to lose it :)
The only thing I have to say about this flap style card is to remember not to keep writing since the bottom isn't covered. Guess how I figured out that one (duh).
Cardstock: DCWV Pocket full of Posies, GP White, Amethyst (CTMH), Ink: Noir Palette, Stamps: Birthday Cupcake (Inkadinkado), Other: Oval Nestabilities, SU! Ticket Punch, stickles, Copics
Thanks for sharing in some of my personal grief!
Oh and a reminder! I have my first article running at Craft Critique tomorrow. Its crafty, but not paper related!!

Oh I am laughing all by myself here! Your post is too funny and your card super cute too!
:)
Oh Katie LOL! I am laughing with you not at you. I too know what it is like pulling a trailer. I almost passed out last summer going up the "hill of death"!LOL! Keep it up because it does get easier.hugs~Erica
The only bad thing about renaming it "cupcake top" is that it actually sounds like a GOOD thing! And after gaining a little weight since my husband got home, I have discovered lately that it most definitely is NOT a good thing!
