Beate's Weekend Sketch Card

I didn't follow the sketch to the tee and I'm not sure how much you can alter it, but in the end I still like the card.

I thought this paper from Papertrey was perfect for this sketch. They all coordinate with each other and have such great patterns that it just cried out to me.

I wanted a scallop border, but there was no way I was going to try and and make it by hand so I found this cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for my cricut. I also have the Design Studio and was able to make it the exact size I wanted. Its actually a frame and then I put my papers inside of it. I think what makes this card is the "pop" of cocoa color.

Cardstock: Stampers Select White, Aqua Mist, Moss Green (Papertrey ink), Cocoa (CTMH)
Patterned Paper: Everyday Blessings (Papertrey ink)
Ink: Aqua Mist, Moss Green (Papertrey ink), Cocoa (CTMH)
Stamps: Beautiful Blooms, Shapes by Design (Papertrey ink)
Other: Cricut, Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Katie, I just followed your link from the comment you left on my blog and can I just tell you that I am smitten with your easy, yet completely elegant style. The touch of brown absolutely makes this card pop! Hey, I just got tagged today...would you mind if I tag your blog, I want people to see what you are doing over here! Let me know...have a fabulous day! I am now going to look at some of your older posts. Laura

It is totally my pleasure! it is really no wonder that one of your cards got picked over at Papertrey as a finalist, the first thing I thought of was Papertrey when I saw your cards. Congratulations! My mom sells CTMH just as a hobby though. Do you have a gallery at SCS. I am off to go check right now! Laura

GET OUT....give me the deets!!!! I decorated from about 1988 to 1999 with a small break for the 'real job' I did enjoy it while I was doing it, although it was really the most physically demanding job I have had, but now when I do a cake it is purely for the taste, I could care less what it looks like, how about you?
