Thank you for keeping us updated. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you and the boys. I just lost my mom who fought hard for a year and passed in June, so those wounds are fresh and I can relate to how you are feeling. We were very close.

Dear Kevin,

It is just so hard to believe that Katie is gone. I am so glad that she is no longer suffering but I will miss her forever. She fought so hard and was such an inspiration because of her postitive and joyful nature. Her smile will live on with the memories that she gave to us.

God bless you and the boys and be with you throughout these difficult days. I send my love and prayers to all of you.

Hugs,

Kevin, You have been so gracious to keep us all updated and we have appreciated it. Whilst I am situated across oceans and seas, I too will light a candle of Monday and think of all 5 of you...Katie included. You have many new challenges ahead that I understand all too well....take a breath and deal with each one as you can. Your beautiful boys will see you through, as you will for them.Take care, I would love to hear your thoughts, prayers as well as joy and tears in the months ahead, but we understand if that becomes too tough. Best wishes.....

Dear Kevin

Take comfort in knowing that the love of your life is now an angel hovering over you and the boys. She lives on in the wonderful memories she has left you with.

Oh Kevin, You are as kind and thoughtful as your beloved Katie in keeping us all updated. Thank you for supporting us as we try with all our hearts to support you and the boys. May you have good memories of all of the good times. I remember telling my ,then 10 year old daughter, when she cried that she wouldn't know what her grandmother would say, that she would know in her heart what Nana would want her to do. Keep Katie's undying love in your heart and she will guide you and the boys in the difficult days and brighten the happy days.

I will be at the chapel in spirit on Monday and will stop and pray with all her other internet and in life friends that her move to the Heavenly Father's home is smooth and swift and that she rest in peace in her Father's loving arms.

Many hugs,

barb

Oh, Kevin... I am so very sorry to hear of Katie's passing! I know that you and the boys must be completely lost right now. I hope it helps in some small way to know that your sweet Katie touched so many, and will be deeply missed by so many.

Sadly, I did not have the pleasure of knowing/meeting Katie, but I have followed her blog and journey since just before her diagnosis... I am a CTMH Consultant and heard about her fabulous artwork on the CTMH BB's... Then I found out you all are from WA, and I am originally from
WA. We've got so much in common... I just felt like I knew Katie!

Please accept my deepest sympathies... My heart breaks for you and your family... Thoughts, hugs and prayers coming your way.

Kevin, what a horrible loss; from reading several posts in her blog I can see how wonderful of a person Katie is, and how lucky you two were to have found each other. let her kindness, creativity and love be demonstrated by the mini-katie's she has graced you with.
bodies age and change and leave us, but spirits, memories, and love, those things are eternal.
peace to you and your family.

This is only a small thing, and maybe a little silly, but...maybe it'll be some comfort. I'm one of those anthropology girls, and I've been studying different cultures for a few years now. You know, I haven't really come across any in which the end is really the end? It's always something transitory, infinite, and stretching. Katie isn't gone so far away, I don't think, and all the peoples of the world can't be wrong.

Good luck, and though I've never met her, even what I've read has convinced me that your wife was a wonderful woman.

Love,
