I made no cards, but I did make these....

Happy Saturday everyone! Yesterday was a great day for us, my little ones turned 5 and all I can do is wonder where the time went.  Just like my title, I didn't make cards for them, but I did make their cakes and I thought they turned out great this year, with only one slight mishap.

Cakes were all done and as I was getting ready to take quick picture to post on facebook with my phone, the front cover fell off and I dropped the entire phone right onto the cake... YIKES!  No worries, I hadn't put my supplies away so I was able to fix everything.  And you know what?  Nate was so sweet, wasn't upset at all and kept telling me it was all ok.

And of course we had to have  2 of them, although only one got cut into.  Each cake is a 9" round and each 5 was cut from another 9" round.  I used a Cricut cartridge to cut a template for my number, placed it right on top of the cake and cut around it.

And then finally, this is what mother nature gave the boys for their birthday.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

Cute cakes! They are so lucky to not have to share a cake. I guess I never thought about that for my girls. And you're right about how the time goes... my little ones turned 21 this year. It goes so fast. Enjoy them while they are little. Hope they had a wonderful birthday!

Rather nice place you've got here. Thank you for it. I like such themes and everything connected to them. I would like to read more on that blog soon.
