My Scrappy Weekend Class

Happy Monday my friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I know that our family did. We had a wonderful time visiting with family at Mom's house. My older sister is such a "mom" and she and my niece and nephew did a great job stuffing Easter Eggs for the boys. It was such a nice surprise since I had planned on putting together some stuff quickly when I got down there but I didn't have to after all.

But, one of the other highlights for the weekend was a class that Mom treated all us girls (my 2 sisters and I) to at the local scrapbooking store called the Scrappy Stamper. Mom is a regular there for just about all their classes and they do some really cool stuff.

Let me show you what I got to create. It was with product that I hadn't used before and it was very 3-D which isn't the norm for me either. I love the 3-D stuff but you definitely need to have a good display option for it. In this case, we got these wonderful wooden frames to display our page in.

Here is a picture of the whole page. The papers are Webster's Pages and I think the cardstock is Bazzill, embellishments are Prima, the butterflies are EK Success, but as I'm prone to state... don't quote me!

I had never used these Prima swirls and they were soooo easy and sooo pretty!

And these flowers... like I said earlier, very 3-D but so pretty.

The butterflies were very cool because they were self adhesive, but they had 2 layers of wings so the top layer could be bent upward for even more dimension.

The beautiful scroll and corner frame was cut with the Cricut machine and I think they were from the Home Decor cartridge... a frame and then cut apart for us to use.

And now the page in its frame...

And finally, thanks to the two lovely teachers of the class. Leona teaches all the time and you can check out Toni's blog HERE... this was her page design and I think her first class with the Scrappy stamper as well.
