Hi everyone! I've got a 2nd post for you. I've had some very cute Pink Persimmon stamps that needed some ink and low and behold, I got this great e-mail from them saying that they were having a blog hop with prizes. It doesn't get better than that does it?
So, I got down to it and created 3 cards. The challenge for the whole blog hop was to follow the sketch shown to the left, but there were a couple of extra challenges thrown in here and there.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I used a stamp set called Ribbit and colored everything in with Copics. I just couldn't decide on a sentiment so I left it off for now until I figure out who, where, and why I want to send the card to. I decided to use some great paper from TaDa Creative Studios. Its from the Whirly Gig Collection, specifically Casablanca.

I made this next card for Kelly Schirmer's blog.
I made this next card for Kelly Schirmer's blog.
Kelly had an extra challenge which was to paper piece. No problem, the set I used to do so, I think lends itself to it. I used a set called Love Dove. I paired this stamp image with some fabulous Cosmo Cricket paper... I'm sure you see the connection (lol). I stamped the dove on the designer paper and then stamped again on plain cardstock, cut the flowers out, added some dimensionals to them and then colored them with Copics. The crochet yarn is 2 different kinds and I purchased those at Walmart I think.

And finally, my last card I created for Kristie Larsen's blog.
And finally, my last card I created for Kristie Larsen's blog.
I opted to keep this card very simple and clean and if you notice, it uses the same paper as the 1st card. The reason for this is because I attempted my card using this cardstock several times... waste not want not!
I did add some seed beads from Martha Stewart to the center of the flower. The flower is from the Ribbit set. I saw so many great projects using these tiny seeds all over CHA and this is my first use with them. The sentiment is from a CTMH set that I have.

One more last card that I got to create for Linda Beeson's blog...
For this card, I used the sketch and my very 1st Pink Persimmon set that I purchased a while ago called Scottie Dogs. I again paired it with some Cosmo Cricket... just because we love Cosmo Cricket (lol).

OMG these are SOOOOO awesome! I think you managed to capture a little piece of each of our "styles",too! I would SO have picked out that birdie Cosmo Cricket paper if I saw it at the store! I love the rustic color scheme and the floral you picked for the dove ( I HAVE that paper, hee!) I love the colors on the card for Samantha's and the graphic look of the one for Kristie's...thanks so much for playing with Pink Persimmon!
Oh wow! I can't decide which is my favorite, it is between the dove one and the Scottie Dog one! What great creations, so glad you played along.
Katie! Your cards are wonderful! Thanks for playing along with us. I am quite partial to the scottie dog, one of my most favorite sets.
Eeee! That blue/green frog card is so cute! And the scottie dog with his little coat is the most adorable thing!
