PCP Weekend Clear Dollar Color Challenge - 2 posts today

2nd post today :) This one is for the color challenge that I posted over at Papercraft Planet. You've got all weekend to do it and I made it easy or hard depending on how you look at it (lol). CLICK HERE to get to the challenge link with all the details.

This weekend's color challenge is really a lack of color. Your job is to come up with a all or mostly WHITE card. I've seen other challenges like this, but haven't had a chance to participate and have always loved the result. Who doesn't love the look of clean white on white.

As soon as I thought white, the May Flower of the Month stamp set (Lily of the Valley) came to mind. If you are a regular, you know I already did a card using this stamp set and Flower Soft, but I just couldn't resist. This particular stamp is the perfect match for the Flower Soft. I used the Ivory for today's card.

I did use some color on my stamp for the foliage, but kept everything else white. I also used C-1 Copic marker to ink around the edges of all my cut cardstock... just that little something. Then I added several different types of white ribbon. I used some white crochet ribbon, some luxurious white satin ribbon and then topped it off with some sheer sparkly ribbon. Oh, and don't forget about my embossed background with the Swirls Cuttlebug folder.

I left off any sentiment and to be honest, I sometimes find it hard to add that sentiment on the front so I'll just write my own note inside.

Thanks for coming to visit or coming back and I hope you can squeeze in this challenge this weekend.

PS... I've got another tutorial up at Clearly iStamp. Its a little fun Favor Box.

Wow, what a gorgeous almost all white card! Love the use of textures.... those textures really accent the all-white-ness.

Oh wow Katie, this monochromatic card is just so elegantly beautiful. I'm amazed at all the different textures in white you managed to make stand out. And the favour boxes are so cute. Will go and have a look at the tutorial. TFS.

GORGEOUS card, Katie! Love the textured flowers...they really pop, even with all the surrounding white, which is sooooooo elegant!
