Clear Dollar Stamps - Sneak Peek Day 1

Good morning everyone! Hopefully, I got to sleep in this morning. Today is the 1st day of sneak peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps. All the stamps shown from today until June 30 will be available for purchase on July 1st (Yikes! July already).

The stamp set that I'm showing is called Sheltering Lights and is a great lighthouse set. Anybody who loves lighthouses, the ocean, or the stories behind them will love this set. I've got two cards to share with you.

For my first card, I used Copics to color my image and then added some great paper from Close to my Heart called Simple Pleasures. I loved the blues and browns of the paper. I also did a lot of stitching with my sewing machine for this one and accented with some buttons from Papertrey ink and I tied them off with some jute/string/hemp.

I really like the layout of this one and like I said, I love the calmness of this paper.

For my second card, I grabbed some retired Stampin Up! paper that I've used before. I love the softness of the colors and patterns of this line.

I used Copics for this image as well and used some weird colors, but I think they turned out alright for the most part.

I used a SU! punch for my sentiment tab and a EK Success border punch for my border at the bottom of the card and I finished it off with some plain cream satin ribbon.
