Last Weeks Clear Dollar Color Challenge over at Papercraft Planet

Well, it appears that we are all sick in one form/stage or another. Poor Will hasn't gotten all the gunk out of his eye and it just looks irritated right now. Nate had goop at one time and then it went away and he is as happy as a clam. Hunter was complaining about a sore throat and his ear hurting, but he seems to be ok at the moment. He didn't seem all that distressed during his time at home yesterday (lol) and me... I don't think I can figure out how I want to feel. I'll think positive!

So... this is a card that I started last week for the Clear Dollar Color Challenge over at Papercraft Planet. I had great intentions, but just ran out of time and umph. I did finally get it together and like many cards we all make, it didn't end up at all the way I had originally planned the card, but do like the end results. This weekend's color challenge is practically here. Make sure to go back and visit for all the details.

Its actually a pretty simple card, but I love the look of the embossing. I originally grabbed my buttercup cardstock and started to stamp with my buttercup ink, but I just didn't like the look of it. I had wanted tone on tone, but it wasn't giving me what I wanted. So what I ended up doing was using Versamark and clear embossing powder and then I sponged the Buttercup ink all over and I still got the tone and tone, but a more interesting overall result. Plus, I really liked the way the ink made the cardstock look; almost gave it a neat textured look.

The flower stamp I used is from this month's Stamp of the Month from Clear Dollar Stamps called Sweet Hummingbird - spend $50 and get this very cute set FREE. It comes with a super cut hummingbird and other images too.

Then I use my very pretty sentiment from the Words of Sympathy set. If you are looking for a great Sympathy set with lots of variety, this is a really great one.

Well, that is it for me. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a Fabulous Friday!!! I know you are probably super glad to see it roll around :)
