Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek #1 - Songbird Silouettes

Good morning friends, today is one of those days :) Its preview time for Clear Dollar Stamps and you won't be disappointed. There are a lot of stamps being released and they are all fabulous!

But before I get going... here's your chance for Guest Design Spot for the month of March. Click -->HERE<-- for all the details!

Today I am featuring a stamp set called Songbird Silhouettes (available March 1st) that is a wonderful classic set. You will be reaching for it over and over again. I've got 2 cards to share with you where I've tried to vary the overall look of each.

My first card I went with a bold yet classic look using the colors black, red, and white. I know you've seen that color combo here on my blog before - it is truly one of my favorites.

I used Versamark Black (I think I need a new and juicier pad though) and then used clear embossing powder to give it a nice shiny texture. I used my oval nestabilities to cut and frame him as well as a nestability as my frame for my sentiment. And as always, you can never go wrong with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder!!

Here's a close up of the embossed bird.

Recipe: STAMP SETS USED: songbird silhouettes CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: pure poppy, white (PTI) INKPADS:versseamark black, CTMH black ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS:clear embossing powder, oval nestabilities, double ended tags trio, kaisercraft rhinestones, swiss dots embossing folder

My next card definitely uses some different colors for you. I definitely prefer the black, red, and white, but these are nice in their own right. One of my favorite sentiments was used on the next card: "Sing a Spring Song" it just has such a sweet sound to it.

Recipe:

STAMP SETS USED: songbird silhouettes
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS:PTI white, Ocean, Autumn Terracotta, Twilight (CTMH), We R memory keepers designer paper
INKPADS:twilight, ocean (CTMH)
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS:fiskars treading water punch, trio tag nestabilities, music notes cuttlebug folder

Again, I used a cuttlebug embossing folder, the music notes for this one. I thought it paired up so nicely with the sentiment.

Well, that is it for me, but go check out my fellow Design Team Members that each have another beautiful way to highlight this wonderful stamp set.

Thanks for visiting and come back tomorrow... I'll have more :) Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Hi Katie!
What great sneak peeks you're sharing today! I love that red, black and white Songbird Silhouette card, especially. That's one of my favorite color combos, too...and you're right...you can't go wrong with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder! LOL

Your blue Songbird Silhouette card is also very pretty, I love the stamped background square the bird sits over and that sentiment is so sweet. Love them both!

Beautiful! I really like how you popped up the negative bird image in the big solid stamp, very different and it turned out awesome!
ALso, you can never go wrong with red and black!

Hi Katie ... love, love, love your samples! The embossed bird is so pretty, don't you think this set is perfect for embossing! I am so loving the second one with the blues and browns, and how genious to use the Allegro emboss folder for the background! Love them!!!
