Back to Business and a Card

Hi everyone! Life goes on and I'm back to the regular old grind of being Mom. The boys have been very sweet and are still telling me that they missed me while I was gone. I really missed their cute little faces too.

So, I have a big of news to share. If you would like a chance to be a reporter for Craft Critique head on over for all the details.

And here is a card that I made before I left that I didn't get around to sharing. Its just a continuation with my fascination and practice using my watercolor brush. Now that I have found the joys of using good watercolor paper, I'm hooked. I borrowed this gorgeous flower stamp from my stamping friend Becky and stamped it 3 times with Versacolor Black ink and embossed it with clear powder. I then used a Twinkling H2O from Luminarte to color in my flowers. If you haven't Twinkling H2O's, they are a lot of fun to use and super easy. Another cool aspect about them is that they have a lot of shimmer incorporated in them too. My final step was to cut out various pieces of the flowers and layer them with pop dots.

I paired my stamped image with some Basic Grey and added some stitching for some extra interest. And of course a little bit of bling from Kaisercraft never hurts.

Note, this card ended up being approximately 5x7.

And finally, one last piece of information to share. I have another tutorial on the Clear Dollar Blog that I had a lot of fun doing. I also used the Twinkling H2O's for that tutorial. Go check it out :) Here are a couple of hints:

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Recipe:

Cardstock: white, ripe avocado (PTI), Sweet Leaf (CTMH), watercolor paper
Designer Paper: basic grey euphoria

WELCOME BAAAAAACK!!! *HUGS* We missed you too!

Beeeautiful card and I am so hooked on watercoloring too! I haven't had a chance to go out to get some nice watercolor paper, so I wonder how much of a difference I will see! Another enabler! Marti was just telling me aaaall about H2O's and now you! Luminarte has them ALL on sale for 40% off! It's all I can do to NOT order them ALL!
