Happy New Year!!!
I hope you are enjoying the 1st day of 2009. I say this every year, but it sure seems like the whole Y2K thing was just yesterday. I remember the huge panic.
Anyway, I guess I should have started my sneak peeks for January's New Releases for Clear Dollar Stamps earlier, cuz I have one left over for you. But the really good news is that everything is available to purchase right now! I loved all the sets, but I do have to admit that these little guys are just too cute. I've got three cards to share with you today.
The first two are from a set called Farm Critters and I chose to use the chicken for my first card. Don't ask me why I chose blue chickens, but I did and I like them :) And of course everything looks good with brown.
I also used Basic Grey Offbeat for my background paper and some ribbon I had at home. I stamped my chicken 4 times and it was really easy to line using the edges of the nest. I then colored my chickens with my Copics and did a little bit of stitching as an accent.
The cute little sentiment is from the now available set called Thoughtful Notes.
My 2nd card uses the little piggy from the set Farm Critters. This card is pretty cut and dried. I again used my Copics to color him in and accented with some small Close to My Heart paper flowers and used my nesties to cut out my sentiment.
And finally, for my last card, I made the base by cutting a folded piece of cardstock with my scallop circle nestability.
I combined several stamps to create this card. The graduation hat is a single that I had and the word "Congratulations" is from a recent release set called Card Categories and finally the pretty italicized words "On Your Day" is from the now available set Card Categories Too. This card is a great generic graduation card and I'll gladly toss it into my stash. I love the combination of the two different fonts.

There are just a couple of other things I'd like to mention today too.
First, I wanted to let everyone know that Mandy has the new Basic Grey Bittersweet available at the store - Limelight Papercrafts - paper, brads, and buttons. This stuff is just gorgeous and don't forget that this weeks sale is 15% off your entire order. All you have to do use the coupon code BALLDROP at check out time. What a fun way to start the New Year!!
Second, this is for any of my local readers. I belong to my local group of twin moms and I have been coordinating a 12 hour crop from 9am to 9pm on January 10th at the Masonic Hall off of Northwest Ave. in Bellingham. We'll be offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks. Plus there will be a ton of door prizes, raffle items, and a goody bag - everything from crafty things to food certificates, and coffee! All this for only $35! Just e-mail me for a mailing address, questions, or any other information.
Third, all new releases are available at Clear Dollar today. Don't forget that with any $50 purchase you will get a FREE stamp of the month. Its perfect for spring or Valentines Day!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day! The first day to a great year!
