Its Sneaky Peaky Time... Clear Dollar Stamps Day 1

Hi everyone! I'm so glad that I can start sharing some of my Clear Dollar Stamps (CDstamps) projects with you. As you know (gasp), January is just around the corner and CDStamps will be releasing a bunch of super, uber, duper cute sets! I seriously had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to share with you first, but here it is.

I'm focusing on a sentiment set that is called Thoughtful Notes. This set is just one of those must haves that will compliment a ton of other single and larger Clear Dollar stamp sets that you may or will want to add to your collection!

This first card is one that I had a fun time creating - its just so bright and cheery and fun! No other stamping except for the sentiment - "I should probably just button it up..." Well, fortunately, or unfortunately for you I won't (hehe).

How perfect is that cuttlebug folder. I love those buttons and have actually used that particular folder on multiple occasions. It is a thin folder that is part of a set and you can find it right at Clear Dollar too. The buttons are from Basic Grey Wassail collection and just happened to work perfectly with the America Crafts (I think) paper.

My next card is another fave of mine. I used Harriet Hippo as my focus and then added a cute little sentiment from the new set. I also incorporated a challenge that Laurie (DT Leader) charged us with - 3-D baby!!! I used (again) some more Basic Grey paper, this time Off Beat and used it all over the place. I stamped little Harriet onto the cardstock 3 times, put down the 1st layer, cut the next layer minus the hind legs and used pop dots to attache my 2nd layer, and then cut my 3rd image (head only) and again used pop dots to attach this last layer. This technique is actually called Paper Toile and is a really fun way to add dimension.

Here is a close up of Harriet. I forgot to mention that I actually stamped her first on the white cardstock so I wouldn't have to cut her tail. I am also going to say that Harriet looks very boyish for this card too (lol)!

Make sure to visit the sites of all the other Design Team members because they are sure to have some incredibly awesome projects. It is just as exciting for me to go blog hopping and get all nitty gritty details. Their links are just to the right - not too much traveling (lol).

I'll have more fun cards and projects to share with you tomorrow so come on back. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
