Fun with Flock

Today or actually tonight is the new release time/party for Papertrey ink. I couldn't let a month go by without making a couple of cards for the Guest Star Stamper submissions if not just for the inspiration of making something with PTI products. I've been really enjoying my fun flock and and am slowly collecting them. Right now I just have a brown, pink, white, and an orange. I used the orange and the pink for today's cards. Plus, I was inspired to keep my cards to a basic white background.

For this first card I used the stamp set Floral Frenzy. I stamped with Versamark and then used Stamp and Bond to adhere my fun flock. This method worked really well for this particular stamp. I have found that the key to working with fun flock is to let it alone. That's the hard part!

The next card also uses fun flock, but just on the bee. I decided that I had to use pink since I didn't have black so a pink bee was born. I embossed with my long rectangle nestablity and then cut it out with the scallop die cut.

I used pop dots on both cards to lift the main image off the card since I used white on white. And of course just a little bit of bling on the second card :)

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are enjoying the rest of your weekend.

Recipe: (all PTI products unless noted)
Cardstock: white, berry sorbet, summer sunrise
Ink: moss green, berry sorbet, summer sunrise, lemon tart, black, versamark
Stamps: honey bee, floral frenzy
Other: rectangle nesties, paper piercer, hero arts bling, fun flock, ribbon

I'm glad you didn't have black, cause I'm lovin' the pink bee! Lovely. I am simultaneously sending you an email from kopperhead; as usual, I had more words than I should put here. Meanwhile,I'm off to get me a good dose of your beautiful cards....it's been too long!

I love these! The first one has a fantastic layout that I for sure will be using, and the second one I love the white on white!

These are both adorable. Love all the bling and detail. Piercing adds a great touch. Love the flocking. Great inspirations.
