A sweet treat

Good morning! Have you ever just made something because you want to make it just to say that you can? Today's project isn't anything unique to me, but I ran across this cute favor box on a website and thought "oh, I want to make that."

Its just a little favor box originally shown as a wedding favor box, but it would also make a cute box for a baby shower or even a birthday party. Of course the options are endless. Plus, over at Stamp Something, this week's challenge is "the sweetest thing" - to make something that is somehow related to sweets, so I immediately thought of this cute little box.

For one of the boxes, I cut a slit to hold my top in place and for the other one I used self adhesive velcro. I wish I had a smaller dot of velcro, because you have to be pretty gentle when opeing the box.

I used all PTI products for the pink box and the scroll design was some paper from my stash. I would have had a matching box inside except I cut my paper size incorrectly - oops :) I also used my oval Coluzzle to cut my flap

Hershey kisses are the only candy that I have on hand, but wouldn't it look cute with matching colored almonds, m&m's, little mints, etc. The other box has some beads that I just got and I put those in there just to give a different reference.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cardstock: Georgia Pacific White, Sweet Blush (Papertrey ink)
Ink: Berry Sorbet (Papertrey ink)
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics (Papertrey ink)
Other: Scor-pal, ribbon, Coluzzle Oval and Blade

Hi everyone! I have been wanting to do a tutorial so if you don't mind holding out I will have all the info soon. I just saw these on a wedding online source (I googled wedding favors - I think) and took their dimensions and then made it myself.
