Wow, it took me all day to get this simple card and post done. I used to take the boys downstairs and I could get a bit done, but these days the boys are way too interested in things like scissors, unwinding rolls of ribbon, dumping out powders and so on. You get the picture.
Anyway, just a quickie card that was inspired by the fabric paper that I got at my local store - Treasury of Memories or as my friends call it TOM's. The first time I heard my friend call it TOM's I was sooo confused, but I got it eventually.
Back to the striped fabric paper. It was 40% off and is Love Elsie. As soon as I saw it I thought beach and then I thought Imaginisce Penguin Dude. The fabric is self adhesive, but I pulled some of the backing off so I could fray the edges. I guess its supposed to be like a blanket since its not the right texture for a towel. Either way, its cute.
For the card base, I used Papertrey's Lemon Tart and stamped the background with Polka Dot Basics in Summer Sunrise. That stamp set is so versatile! I did just a little bit of paper piecing and Penguin is hot to trot!
I also want to mention that tomorrow night is Papertrey ink's Blog Hop. That is always fun so keep tuned for that. I've been having an interesting time working on my project (s).
Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
