Good morning everyone! We made it to our destination safe and sound and am looking forward to a great weekend. It was actually a very decent drive. As many of you know, my 14 year old nephew has been staying with us for the last 3 weeks and due to the extra member of the family, we've made due with our two 5 seater vehicles, but it does present a problem when we all want to go someplace together. My sister who lives across the state from us had invited our entire family over for the 4th and was gracious enough to let us bring Jordan with us. My Mom was gracious enough to drive an extra 3 hours to get to my house so we wouldn't have to rent a vehicle to transport all of us. She picked up one of my younger brothers, drove up, we all gathered, then I went with her and Kevin, Jordan, Hunter, Nate, and Will went in our truck. Seven hours later and 3 stops we were there without any mishaps at all.

Now you are probably, wondering what am I doing writing a blog entry today, but its 5:29 am (I woke up a handful of times and finally just got up at 4:57am) and I can't go back to sleep and my sister and brother in law have high speed/wireless internet so here I am, blogging and browsing.

Quiet time in the morning whether it be at home or away is always a "good thing".

I wish I had something festive to share, but I don't. As you also may be aware of, its been a crazy past several days and I just haven't been able to get it together with anything special. I've had some great thoughts enter and subsequently leave my head, but no fruition, so I will share something older that I did in the past and haven't shared yet.

This card uses one of the newest releases from Papertrey ink called Guidelines. It is a great set. I actually made this card with RAK in mind. I love specifically making PTI cards and is a great excuse to use these fab stamps to sent to other huge PTI fans. Don't know yet who I'm sending it to, but its all ready to go.

I decided to tilt my design to see how it would look - I don't know - it doesn't look bad, but it might bug you linear folks out there. I also knew that I wanted to use black ink, but didn't know what other color I wanted to pair it with. I knew I couldn't really go wrong since everything goes with black, but I ended up choosing Berry Sorbet and am pleased with the way it turned out. I stamped my background and then cut it out with my nesties along with the scallop mat.

Well, that's it for me at the moment. I hope to have some fun holiday pictures to share later.

Oh and if any of you are interested in seeing Hunter's stitches, I did post a picture on my FAMILY blog :)

Hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July!!!
