Happy Sunday! I wanted to share some cards that I have been doing for the weekly challenges over at Splitcoast. I doubt I'll do them every day/every week, but its nice to know they are there. Actually, I knew they were there, I just hadn't gotten to participate yet, but let me tell you it was fun.
This first card fits the bill for 2 of the challenges ( the technique and the ways to use it). I used Papertrey ink's Guide Lines to make my background. What I did was stamp it on the back, then used my Scor-pal to emboss the grids, then I turned it to the right side and used my ink pad to ink up the embossed lines. Then I used the accompanying stamp to create the design in my squares to create my background design. Then, to meet the ways to use it challenge (use something from my spice cabinet) I cut a circle design from my Accents Essential Cartridge for my Cricut machine, covered it up with my Zig glue pen (you could also slide it through your xyron) then sprinkled my parsley and gently patted it down. Then I attached rhinestones and ribbon to create my Christmas wreath. The next card was a folding challenge card and I decided to do a criss cross card since I hadn't done one in a long while. These are fun to do and also make great gift card holders too. I used Close to my Heart papers and one stamp set, but my main coffee images are from Impression Obsession.
Here is a close up of my belly band. I love using Versamark and clear embossing powder - lots of subtle detail.
My last card was just a sketch challenge. Another fun card. I had the printed paper that I wanted to use but didn't have any gold paper which I would have loved to accent with, but I made do by using my Copic Spica gold pen to accent my paper. The paper was gifted to me and my image was stamped while I was visiting my Mom. I did color her in with my Copics.
And here's the detail photo of what the glitter pen looks like. These pens are really awesome!
Thanks for stopping by and hanging in for all the pictures. Have a great weekend.
