Another woe, a long birthday, kind friends, and happy news

Haha... I am always at a loss for a title so sometimes they read very weird. I'll start with my woe. I left my memory card reader at my sister's and am waiting patiently for it to arrive. I have other alternatives, but just don't want to and it wouldn't really matter because I haven't stamped anything new since last Tuesday or so.

My wonderful little son (Will to be exact) decided he was going to bake a lovely lego casserole. I'm totally kicking myself because he had been walking around all morning with a tupperware container full of legos telling me "I cook". Sooo, I guess I should have looked into the oven when I went to fix the boys some chicken nuggets. Next thing I know there is black smoke pouring out of the oven and when I opened the door, a nice small fire was burning. Nice huh??

So now to my card. This is a card that I did while doing several cards for a contest that Melanie Muenchinger was hosting a while ago. I've said it once, twice and probably several more times, but I really like all her animal sets. You can find all of them at Gina K Designs. I printed out my sentiment using Melanie's long pun. That paper is CTMH and the little stamped flowers and the butterfly are also from the stamp set. A cute, no frills kind of card.

Ingredients:
Cardstock: Colonial White, Autumn Terracotta, Sunflower, Expedition Level 2 printed paper (CTMH), Ink: Palette Noir Black, Autumn Terracotta (CTMH), Stamps: Just So Hippy (Gina K), Other: Copics, Nesties, Computer

And now for kind friends. I have met a lot of them online and I want to say thank you to all of them who always have a kind word and are thinking of me when they are browsing and either see opportunities/products that they think I might like. We are all so busy and any small gesture is so appreciated. It has been a busy summer and yesterday I told my husband that I was just "tired" (kwim?), but I also want to say that things are really not BAD, just annoying and my woes are very small compared to many out there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now for my happy news!!! I just got an e-mail from Kim of Spellbinders that I had won one of their new releases. I entered Michelle Wooderson's (Mish Mash) turn at Spellbinder's give away for a bunch of new dies they are releasing. I won the pinking circle dies. I love all my nestabilties and was so excited to win this set. There is still a chance for a bunch more giveaways so go check out the details on the Spellbinders website. Its just the little kick I need to get back into my creative groove (kwim).

Thanks for sticking with me :) Have a great day - fire free of course!
