A perfect Birthday sentiment, Beate's Sketch

This card came together super quick - who knows maybe it looked like it :) Anyway, it originated with the stamped ribbon. A while ago there was a post on PTI mb about stamping on ribbon. Its not something that I do often and the last time I did it my ink bled on my ribbon. I used white grosgrain and although it did seep it still looked nice and worked on the layout that I was doing. So, in the post, I believe it was Lynn Mercurio suggested using Stiffy by Plaid which is a fabric stiffener, which I happened to have purchased just previous in the hopes of tyring it out on a different project. Well, I finally got around to using it on my PTI ribbon and stamped away to see the results. I chose black and Berry Sorbet because those were the two pallette inks that I had. I thought the results were nice and short story turned long, my card for Beate's sketch was the reslult.

I followed my ribbon and of course turned to PTI's newest patterned paper and one of their older stamps which is now my new favorite stamp set. I random or not so randomly stamped the base of my card then added my patterned paper and ribbon. There is such diversity with the Beautiful Blooms Stamp set. I then paired it up with Birthday Basics and I have a great birthday card.

Everything is Papertrey ink unless otherwise noted: Cardstock: GP White, Pink Patterns, Ink: Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blus , Noir (Palette), Stamps: Beautiful Blooms, Birthday Basics, Other: Ribbon, Stiffy (Plaid), Nestabilities

Thanks for stopping by and have a fab day!!
