The Memorial Has Arrived

Hi All,

I have been away for quite a while and I must apologize for not keeping you all in the loop.  Life is going well for all of us, the boys are doing well in school and I'm fully back into the swing of the work world.

As you know from past posts, Katie and I spent a bit of time shopping for our final resting place.  While she wanted to know where we were going to be, she didn't really feel the need to direct the arrangements of her service or the other aspects of memorials and the such.  She did however say that she really liked the idea of having a bench that folks could come and visit, and since we have such a nice quiet spot by the creek a bench was the perfect memorial.

Shortly after Katie's passing I decided to order her bench and after a long wait it finally arrived.

Take care all,
Kevin

So happy to see a post pop up from you. I think of you often and pray that God continues his prechiou care of your beautiful family. The bench is the perfect place to sit a spell, reflect, read a note, chat, and just listen to the gifts of nature. It's exactly what I think Katie would love. Thanks for sharing. Happy to see that everyone is doing well.

Thanks for the update and the photo of the boys. I know Katie must of been smiling from above when that bench was installed at her resting place.

Glad to hear that you are all trying to get back into the throws of "normal" life once again.

Kevin, thanks so much for the picture - the boys have grown so much! It's amazing! I think of you and Katie often. My mother died in January and a colleague was diagnosed with ovarian cancer - she's single, no kids. I think of Katie and her incredible love of life and her generosity of spirit in the way she shared her art with us all. I think the bench is perfect - I've considered one for my mom. I am so grateful for your willingness to keep us updated -- your generosity of spirit.

Dear Kevin --
Katie was on my mind today, so I thought I would stop by and see if you had added any new posts and was very happy to see her Memorial.

I'm touched by the lovely picture you have shared and have thought of you and the boys often. I am happy to hear that you are all doing well and I continue to hope that you are starting to heal, and the can now begin to move forward and cherish your wonderful memories of Katie and her time here, despite it being far too short. She's truly and Angel and my heart makes me feel she is watching over you all and is very happy with your choices and how well you and the boys are doing.

God Bless you all and I will continue to hope you'll move on in your life. I know Katie would love that!
