Does this make me look too hippy?
Good morning all! I have made several cards using Melanie Muenchinger's (at Gina K ) stamps for a contest she is holding, and this one was one of my favorites. When I thought of this, I just knew that I wanted to use a red and black theme for it. Don't ask me why. One of the reasons why I like her Just So Hippy, Just So Hoppy, and her accessories sets are because of the puns. I've been enjoying a lot of the Pun stamp sets out their in stamping land.
So what I did was take my Michaels ribbon and gathered it at the top with my sewing machine. Then after I had stamped and colored my hippo, I took my craft knife and cut slits on her "hips" and slid my gathered ribbon through. Since nobody is going to see the backside all I did was tape the mess down with scotch tape. The sentiment is actually from her Hip-Hop Accessories set.
I wish I looked this cute in a little red sheer tutu :) Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Thanks for my morning chuckle...CUTE card!
This is just adorable Katie - you are too clever with that hippo and the skirt. Your cards are always so fabulous though. TFS!
Very clever idea for the tutu! I think your card is my favorite I've seen made with that set.
