Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 4

Hey everyone! Today's the last day of sneak peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps and you'll be free to shop all the new goodies first thing tomorrow!

BUT... I do have to warn you that there will be one special stamp set (brand new) available at a discount that you won't see until tomorrow on Lori's Blog as well as a few of the Design Team Members blogs. So before you get those shopping carts too full... make sure to visit because there's something special to celebrate on November 1st!!!

Now, back to today's sneak peeks. These are the stamps that you are being featured today:

December Stamp of the Month called Mouse Dreams * Acts 20:35 * Gift Labels * All Single Stamps (snowman, presents, tree, cocoa mug, Christmas sentiments, Happy New Year)

You can see the sets in full on Lori's blog - Clearly iStamp

My first card uses Mouse Dreams and is a super cute image. Doesn't he look all cozy all tucked in?

I think you'll love this next set, especially if you are fond of all those cute "nugget" (in reference to the Hershey's nugget candies" sets that Lori has. These will work great for those candy treats, but this set is also perfect to create your own gift labels for all those presents you'll be wrapping for the holidays.

For my project, I thought it would be really cute to make a little gift booklet of tags. I truly feel that it is a wonderful treat to get a "pre" gift early in the season, but why not gear it to help your friend get ready for the holidays. How about matching up some gift wrap and then creating labels to match.

So here's my outside cover. I used some left over Basic Grey and then used my Cricut to die cut the letters.

And the inside. All the recipient or you have to do is peel and stick.

Don't worry, I'll be offering up a tutorial on this soon.

Well, that's it for me today, but make sure to go check out the other DT members. Trust me, they have lots of great ideas to share with you too.

Have a great day and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I'll be sharing photos soon :)

2nd Post Today - Stamp Something - Cute and Fuzzy Somethings

Hey all... this is my 2nd post today and its that time again for another Stamp Something Challenge. This week the theme is all about cute and fuzzy and the sponsor is Ildi Co.

I ended up using a cute image from TaDa Creative Studios that coordinates with one of their new lines of papers. You can get the papers and stamp at Limelight Papercratfs. I used fun flock to cover his entire body and in hind site I should have colored him first... but it still turned out pretty cute.

The "hee" part was actually part of the "haw" part on the cardstock, but I cut it out and then added it on top instead.

Make sure to head on over the Stamp Something to check out the rest of the DT... you've got an entire week to play so come join the fun.

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 3

Its me again... ok... I must admit that I'm getting a bit weary of the rain. It seems like its been raining forever these days. Halloween is in one more day and I'm excited to get the kids all dressed up. I'm also excited by the fact that its on a Saturday which means that Kevin will be home all day and we won't be rushing around after he would normally come home from work.

I am bumbed that Hunter won't get to wear his costume to school though. This will be the first year that they haven't been allowed to.

Anyway... back to the point of this post. It is another day of sneak peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps. So much good stuff has been shown and more to come (yay). Remember, everything will be available for purchase on the 1st... plus new products I'm sure. I'm always excited to see what Lori adds to her product line.

These are the sets being previewed today and you can see all the previous and today's stamp sets in full over on Lori's blog - Clearly iStamp.

Welcome to Parenthood * Mini Christmas Scriptures * Meowy Christmas * Just Chillin'

I just have two cards to share today using the stamp set called Welcome to Parenthood. What a great set... a story I think about in regards to me as a non parent and then becoming a parent is this one:

I used to work in a bakery located in a grocery store and I would watch moms and their babies and toddlers walk by everyday. I used to get so grossed out by all those babies and toddlers with those gross runny noses and the kids just sucking it up, wiping it across their faces. You know... they would have that dried alligator scale look across their face and their sleeves and/arms would be all gross.

I would think to myself, "Oh my gosh don't those moms wipe their kids noses... geesh!!"

Ha... well now as a mother, we all know that sometimes it doesn't matter how often you try to wipe noses and change shirts so on and so forth... it just doesn't work and you can't win that battle.

So back to the cards (lol). I paired this simple sentiment with Baby Charlie and I think made a cute combo.

And here is my second card to share. I went boy version for the 1st one so I went girl version for this one.

So go check out these fellow DT members that are sharing today as well.

Kim * Angela * Sarah * Candy * Linda A * Nancy * Tricia * Cassie * Stacy * Shawne * Tori * Wendy

Have a great day and make sure to come back for the final peeks tomorrow!

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 2

Hi everyone! Day 2 is here for the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks and you will continue to love all the new stamps that will be available November 1st. What a great way to start out the month.

The stamps being featured today are:

Jolly Joy * Baked for you Tags * Charlie Nativity * Billy and Maggie Carolers * Phil. 4:6-7 (Value Verse)

These sets as well as yesterday's can be viewed in full on Lori's blog - Clearly iStamp.

Today, I'll be sharing samples using Baked for you Tags and Billy and Maggie Carolers. Baked for you Tags is the perfect set if you like making your own baked goodies, but don't feel as though you can't use this set to make sweet cards too.

My first picture is of tags that I created that are pretty generic. You can make these ahead of time and have them ready to go this holiday season or you could make a bunch to give away to friends to use as well. They are super easy and plain adorable.

And here is my card using the large tag image... could be for any occasion!

************************************************************************************

My next two cards were created with Wendy's Louby Lou line available at Clear Dollar Stamps using the Billy and Maggie characters. This time they are dressed to the nines as holiday carolers. I love the old fashioned traditional look with this set.

For my next card, I did the pets at the light post rather than the people. Dogs and Cats do sing you know.

I used Shimmerz and painted the entire embossed background as well as the the white background to give it lots of subtle twinkle.

Well, that's it for me. I hope you are getting lots of inspiration for the holidays... its just around the corner!

Make sure to check out the other sneak peeks today. Have a fabulous Thursday!!!

Kim * Angela * Sarah * Candy * Linda A * Nancy * Tricia * Cassie * Stacy *

Shawne * Tori
(so sorry ladies... I missed you yesterday)

and Wendy

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 1

Hey all... its that time again... yup... Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek time. If you want to see the full sets make sure to head on over to Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp.

These are the sets that are being shown today: Dog Day Celebrations, Holiday Patterns, Railroad Memories, Reindeer Patchpal and Dinomite.

I've got 3 sets to share with you today so we'll get started. I'll start with Dog Day Celebrations and share a card that is just in time for Halloween. If you have and enjoy last month's set called Dog Days, then this set is perfect for you. You can't see the cute doggie under his costume, but you know he is just too cute!

I paired this ghostly creature with some great looking paper from TaDa Creative Studios and I love the contrast of the simple image with the bright boldness of the paper.

My next card from this set is going into a whole other season, but it too is just around the corner. In this card, the doggy is definitely showing off, but he deserves too since he is too cute with his Santa hat.

I water colored him with a waterbrush and my inkpads... I really like the paper I used for the background but its old stuff and not available anymore, but my FAVORITE part is his Santa hat. I just adore Liquid Applique. It creates such great dimension.

My next cards are from a set being released called Holiday Patterns. This is an easy stamping set which I LOVE! They would make the perfect and easy to put together holiday cards.

And my last stamp set is called Reindeer Patchpal and fits in with all the other Patchpal collection. If you've already started collecting then you definitely want to add this cute little guy to the mix.

For this first card, I didn't use the reindeer at all, but used a companion stamp instead.

I stamped and colored the image and appropriate sections several times and then layered my tree. I love this effect using pop dots.

For my second card, I put the reindeer in the spotlight :)

Thanks for coming to visit me here, but make sure to go visit these lovely ladies with their sneak peeks too. I'll guarantee that you'll love everything you see.

Have a great day!

Baking with Charliene... if only I looked so good.

Happy Tuesday! I'm off at MOPS this morning and then back to sewing on those costumes! But I have another card to share with you using another October release from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Charliene is in the kitchen cooking up all sorts of delicious things. Today she's got a pie for us and doesn't she look all fashionista in her apron garb?

I did some paper piecing with some great fall looking paper from Stampin Up! and she is colored in with Copics.

I added some lace at the bottom just cuz. Its funny how we think of lace being so feminine, but you wouldn't catch me dead wearing any lace on my clothing. Cards ok, but no clothing.

So, I've gotta get a moving and I'll catch you later. Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Recipe:

Glory Days

Hi everyone! I've been busy... I just finished up all the sneak peeks for next month... lots of fun very soon. And of course, I'm trying to get the Halloween costumes done for the boys, so this is going to be short, but I do have a card to share with you.

This first card is from a set that was released at the beginning of October called Glory Days. I kept everything very clean and simple with the addition of that little bit of design in the paper.

Stamp Something - its all about bling baby!

Hi everyone! Today is Friday... woo hoo and that means that its time for another Stamp Something Challenge. This week's challenge is all about the bling. Who doesn't love it in one shape or form?

For my card, I used a snowflake die from Sizzix and then ran it through my xyron and then dumped glitter all over it. I did add another snowflake to give it a bit more substance. I kept my card relatively simple and only added a plain piece of cardstock that I used my EK Success border punch on and added some lace ribbon. The sentiment is from Papertrey ink (anniversary set).

Make sure to stop by and visit all the other DT members cards at Stamp Something. You've got all week to play :)

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Cards for Bekah

Hi everyone! I have a special card here just for a special little girl. I don't know Bekah personally, but she sounds adorable. If you didn't know, October is also Spina Bifida Awareness month and my fellow Stamp Something design team member knows this special little girl that would absolutely adore some pretty cards sent to her. CLICK HERE and you will be immediately transported to Giovana's blog where she has all the details and a lovely story about Bekah in her Mom's words.

I hope she likes cupcakes :) This was the first time I inked up this cute stamp set from Stampin Up! I remember when I saw it, I just had to have it and it has taken me this long to use it. I generally use clear stamps and one of the reasons I do so is becasue I like the fact I can see where I place it after the fact. Since the sentiment was the last thing I stamped I couldn't use the stamp-a-ma-jig since my bow was already in place so I just had to wish for the best and check that out - perfect! I was a luck girl last night.

Used some copics, nesties, PTI, and Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by and go visit Giovana's blog if you can. Just one little card would make this little girl so happy.

Stamp Something Challenge - Brown Somethings

Hi Everyone! Its Friday once again and its time for anther fun challenge over at Stamp Something. This week is a great one and for me was a fun one. Who doesn't like to work with Brown? It is really a great color just by itself or works great with so many other colors.

I chose to keep with shades of brown for my card and really like the way it turned out. I stamped my background with a Clear Dollar Stamp called Spots a Plenty and my sunflower stamp is another Clear Dollar Stamp called Sunflower Songs.

I raised the center of my sunglower by stamping and then usign a circle punch to cut it out. I then took scissors and cut around my circle.

For my tag I cut 2 pieces from the Labels 4 nesties and then layered and stamped.

I used some cute brown gingham ribbon and my EK Success border punch for my swags to finish the card off.

Make sure to head on over to Stamp Something go check out the rest of the DT's submissions. You don't want to miss this week's challenge because iCopic is the sponsor. Who doesn't want more Copics or to try them out!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Non traditional Colored Christmas Card

Oh wow... its Thursday and the week has gone by ever so quickly. I need to get my 'ole behind in gear if I want to get Halloween costumes ready for the kids. I was almost tempted to buy them, but I just can't even if it means late, late, late nights for me. I have no excuse except that I've been procrastinating and to be honest I haven't wanted go shopping for fabric. I should just buckle down and take the boys with me and again, my lame excuse is that they make it hard for me to think! I'll get it done...

But in the meantime, I have a card to share with you. Just like my title says, its non traditional holiday colors. I used a holiday sentiment set that is from a newly released set called most aptly Christmas Scriptures from Clear Dollar Stamps. The sentiments in the set are large and are great focal points for the front of the card, but there is no reason that you can't stamp them in the inside and use other images for your front.

I started with some PTI cardstock for my base and then layered this really cool designer paper from the Whirly Gig Collation (TaDa Creative Studios). To add even more dimension, I grabbed my new embossing folder (Morrocan Screen) and embossed right on the designer paper. I then inked it up to tone the colors down a bit and bring out the embossing too.

I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Label Two to cut out my scripture and while the die was still in place, I gently inked the edges with the same distressing ink that I inked the rest of the card with.

I finished it off with some great silk ribbon (love this stuff) from May Arts and there you have it - my nontraditional colored holiday card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
